Plant engineering works in former Telecom building

Gemmo S.p.A. is participating in the renovation of the “Ex Telecom” building in Trieste, for its transformation into a student residence including 317 rooms, common areas and services.

In partnership with Ennio Riccesi Holding, the contractor for building and structural works, Gemmo will be responsible for electrical and plumbing works.

Built in 1991, the property constitutes about one-third of the office complex of the business and commercial hub called “Il Giulia,” located in a semi-central area of the municipality of Trieste. The student residence will come to life at 2 Bonomo Street, at the former Telecom headquarters, thanks to the Fvg Social Housing Fund managed by Banca Finint Sgr.

The development will create a new CX Place, a student and youth housing format in line with the standards of Europe’s most advanced Student Housing operators. Indeed, the facility will offer modern and functional study and leisure spaces such as study rooms, lounge, gymnasium, cafeteria, BBQ area, communal kitchen, play zone, and a furnished terrace.
